We believe in a holistic approach to creating lasting change. We achieve this by actively involving young people (meaningful and inclusive youth participation) and employing methods that challenge traditional views on gender (gender transformative approaches). This approach allows us to tackle issues like child marriage, female genital mutilation, sexual and gender-based violence, and unintended pregnancies in our communities. Our strategies include:
To empower adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) from underserved communities to make informed choices, enjoy their sexuality, and be free from harmful practices in gender-equitable and violence-free societies.
To raise public support, advocate for improved policies and laws, and strengthen civil society to amplify young people’s voices to claim, protect and expand civic space.
Exploring Stories of Resilience: “Pathway To Empowerment” Anthology
We’re excited to introduce “Pathway To Empowerment,” an anthology produced by the Network for Adolescent and Youth of Africa (NAYA) as part of the Power to You(th) program. This collection features personal stories shared by individuals within our project areas, offering insights into their journeys toward sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) empowerment. From lawmakers to champions and young advocates, each storyteller provides a unique perspective on addressing challenges like child marriage, female genital mutilation, sexual and gender-based violence, and unplanned pregnancies. These narratives highlight the realities faced by adolescent girls and young women across Kenya, Indonesia, Uganda, Senegal, Malawi, Ghana, and Ethiopia.

Strong Documentation And Evidence Base, Adaptation, Innovation, And Technology.
Our program is poised to scale in terms of long-term impact and beneficiary reach. This has been accomplished by incorporating the desired change into global, regional, national, and subnational policies. The scale is based on best practices, evidence, and knowledge. Our program aligns and collaborates with other SRHR partnerships and consortia to establish itself as a leader in the fight against harmful practices, SGBV, and unintended pregnancies. We aim to lead by example and create best practices through strong evidence-based programming to inspire others to continue working towards eliminating the critical issues in our program.
