Transforming Norms

Our consortium is committed to the inclusion of adolescent girls and young women from underserved communities in decision-making processes related to child marriage, female genital mutilation/cutting, sexual & gender-based violence (SGBV) and unintended pregnancies.

We mobilize public support, advocate for the enhancement of policies and legislation, and empower civil society to amplify the voices of young people, enabling them to assert, safeguard, and extend their civic rights. Power to You(th) adopts an innovative gender-transformative approach as well as meaningful and inclusive youth participation strategy, which equips both youth leaders and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to effectively address the critical issues at hand.

Power to You(th) is a partnership between the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 3 consortium partners; Rutgers, Sonke Gender Justice and Amref Health Africa, 2 technical partners; KIT Royal Tropical Institute and Choice for Youth & Sexuality and 7 Country Management Teams (CMTs) in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Ethiopia, Senegal, Ghana and Indonesia.
