Power to You(th) is on a mission to change that. We believe that youth should have meaningful involvement in decision-making – moving beyond mere participation to holding real power.
Our campaign is rooted in the concept of Meaningful and Inclusive Youth Participation (MIYP). This means that young people aren’t just participants, they are leaders, actively shaping every stage of programs and policies. Youth should be able to work alongside adults as equals, leading their own initiatives and driving transformative change.
We also emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion, ensuring that youth from all backgrounds are represented and that their voices reflect the full spectrum of experiences and perspectives. To achieve this, we need adults to step up as allies – offering mentorship, support, and a commitment to shared responsibility. MIYP isn’t just a youth issue; it’s a collective effort that requires mutual accountability.
