Power to You(th)

PTY Uganda’s Inter-School Music, Dance, and Drama Event

In a vibrant display of talent and advocacy, Mbale City was recently ignited by the Power To You(th) Uganda’s Inter-School and Community Music, Dance, and Drama event held at the Mbale School of Hygiene.

The echoes of this dynamic event continue to reverberate through the community, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who participated. Students from various schools and community groups came together to showcase their artistic prowess while addressing and challenging harmful practices prevalent in our society.

Through the enchanting medium of music, dance, and drama, participants crafted performances that highlighted critical social issues. Gender-Based Violence (GBV), harmful cultural practices, and other societal challenges took center stage, providing a platform for powerful storytelling and advocacy.

The event was a testament to the transformative power of art. It served as a rallying call, urging communities to stand in unity against harmful practices. Each beat, movement, and dialogue portrayed a collective determination to create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Power To You(th) Uganda’s Inter-School Music, Dance, and Drama event echoed the spirit of collaboration and activism. It resonated with the community, inspiring conversations and a renewed commitment to address and eradicate harmful practices.
