Evidence and Learning

Why Learning and Evidence Matter!

At Power to You(th), we believe that transformative change must be rooted in evidence and lived experience. That’s why research, learning, and documentation are central to our approach. In a world where harmful practices, SGBV, and unintended pregnancies remain deeply entrenched, our work supports bold solutions, co-created with young people, and backed by data.

Central Operational Research

“To make an impact, we have to learn smart — and stay rooted in what matters.”

That’s why we kicked off the Central Operational Research (COR) journey: a bold, youth-powered exploration of what’s working, what’s shifting, and how change truly happens. With national teams and young researchers at the lead, we explored how key PtY approaches are sparking real change. From shifting norms and shaping policies, to challenging gatekeepers and building safe spaces, this is where strategy meets impact.

What we found was powerful: diverse stories rooted in local realities, and shared threads that stretch across borders — like the strength of intergenerational dialogue, the impact of male allies in gender justice, and the creativity of youth-led solutions breaking down harmful practices.

Explore each country’s research to see how young people are not just part of the change: they’re driving it, one conversation, one community, and one courageous idea at a time.
